Its not always serious stuff!

At the tail end of last year, when the winter nights were drawing in. We had the pleasure of helping out one of our favourite customers Woodbase joiners with a project that was unapologetically FUN!

Anyone for curling?

Spread out over 3 floors of a shopping centre, Urban fun is the ultimate indoor sporting venue. With VR darts, curling, bowling, arcades and more. Its the most fun you can have indoors on a wet winter day. We were tasked with the design and build of multiple dividers barriers and arches that the team at Woodbase finished in some vibrant paints and I must say it all looks brilliant!

My favourite part of this project was the less bonkers looking bar. Finished by the team in weathered steel, paired with thick riveted steel straps this looks classy yet industrial. The overhead gantry lightbox needed to be sleek using only a 30mm profile all round to create that simple artdeco style. Keeping this 9m monster straight and true with such a thin material was challenging but the outcome was well worth the effort!
