gafabrications welcome Saxon Mount.
The future of engineering right here.
Last spring we had the pleasure of an invite from Saxon Mount school to come and see what they were all about and we can understand why they would want to show it off. Myself and Andrew were overwhelmed by the buzz of excitement and positivity around the place. The school is bright and warm, with students creations adorning the walls like badges of honour.
All the students we spoke to had big plans for the future and were more than happy to share stories with us, about the exciting things they were learning at school, some eager students even asked if we were hiring? So naturally we set up some trade tests.
Rolling some stainless steel rings.
The visit was so much fun for us and the students couldn’t of been more engaged, embracing the experience with loads of questions and a lets have a go attitude. Timing was tight but we wanted to give everyone a chance to create so I decided to make something from my childhood, the desk tidy. A big thankyou to Michael at Stevens Rowsell for cutting me some bases last minute on a Friday morning as he often does.
Who doesn’t want to have a go welding?
We had some naturals in the group that could be putting me out of work sooner than ide like but I embrace that fully!
Saxon Mount School does amazing things and everyone involved from staff to students should be so proud of what they’ve created.
Thankyou for coming, you are welcome back anytime.
